The Latin root of the word meditation, mederi, means "to heal." The word meditation has had different connotations in different parts of the world. In the West, the word meditation means a concentrated state of mind in serious reflection. In the East meditation has been linked more to a spiritual ideal. The Hebrew word for meditation means a very intense spiritual battle. According to Zen, meditation is an awareness of inner silence. Meditation can be used to mean the practice of prolonged awareness. It could mean spiritual practice or spiritual cultivation.
Meditations and spiritual development speeds up evolutionary processes and are responsible for development of the higher faculties. Human beings have infinite potential. Spiritual practices are the missing link that can enable one to realize his or her unrealised potential, and achieve just about anything.
Many powerful techniques for spiritual development and advancement were revealed to Master Choa Kok Sui by his Teacher Mahaguruji Mei Ling to help humanity achieve an empowered, safe and accelerated spiritual life in the shortest time possible. Master Choa Kok Sui has shared these highly distilled and simplified techniques with many around the world enabling them to lead a more fulfilling and enriching life.
Meditation on the Twin Hearts
Meditation on Twin Hearts is a meditation technique aimed at achieving illumination or universal consciousness. It is also supposed to be an instrument of world and community service that would eventually harmonize the earth by blessing it with loving-kindness, peace, joy and goodwill.
Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, the modern founder of Pranic healing and Arhatic Yoga first introduced this meditation as a tool for spiritual development in his book, The Ancient Science and Art of Pranic Healing (1987). Presently it is being practiced globally in more than 58 countries throughout the world by tens of thousands of people of different religions and backgrounds.
Twin Hearts Meditation, however, is not just for the spiritual development of the individual. A part of this meditation includes the practitioner using his/her Divine Energy to bless the whole world and all living beings. This is a form of world-service that helps to heal the world and can help usher in the Golden Age of World Peace.
Twin Hearts Meditation is an integral part of the Pranic Healing system, but can also be learnt independently.

Meditation on the Twin Hearts can also be used for effective team building. In the Meditation on Twin Hearts, the meditator experiences feelings of kindness and love. When in this state of parasympathetic arousal - the physiological opposite of ‘fight or flight’ - the set of reactions generate a feeling of calmness and confidence facilitating co-operation. Instead of hostility, anger and suspicion the interaction with the group and others is from a feeling of well being and contentment.
Meditation on Twin Hearts also helps one improve ones Emotional Quotient. Emotional Intelligence is being aware of and handling emotions competently. Today more importance is given to Emotional Quotient than to Intelligence Quotient. Awareness of feelings of self and others and the ability to handles one’s feeling effectively are a great asset. Clever people become stupid and are unable to think when under the grip of strong emotions. The Meditation on Twin Hearts is as much ‘Them’ oriented as it is ‘I’ oriented. The awareness and sensitivity which develop through regular practice help enormously in relationships. This coupled with the technique of blessing others with good things in life that one personally desires, increases one’s competence in relating effectively. Emotional equilibrium is a great asset which benefits people in all walks of life.

Arhatic Yoga
"Arhat" is a Pali term, which literally means "He who is Worthy", or "He who is worthy of Praise". Arhatic Yoga, also called The Synthesis of Yogas or, in the higher levels, The Yoga of Synthesis, is designed to help the practitioner develop to the level of an Arhat.
The word "yoga" is from the Sanskrit root "yug" which means to yoke or unite. Yoga is thus the term given to any technique that culminates in uniting us with the divine.
There are many paths of yoga, bhakti yoga aims to achieve this union through love and devotion, karma yoga does it through service, jnana yoga aims at union through knowledge while raja yoga works at union through meditation. Grand Master Choa Kok Sui has successfully combined all these methods of yoga along with kundalini yoga to form one of the fastest and most powerful methods for spiritual development and evolution. Arhatic Yoga was revealed to Master Choa Kok Sui by his Teacher Mahaguruji Mei Ling, to help humanity achieve an empowered, safe and accelerated spiritual life in the shortest time possible.
Arhatic Yoga is not a religion. You are not asked to change your religious beliefs. Arhatic Yoga has been specifically designed to allow the practitioner to maintain their initial religious or philosophic practice. Practitioners may even improve or become more dedicated to their faith through this system of personal and spiritual development. One would become a better person through the practice of the techniques discussed. Your life will become calm, not chaotic.
Arhatic Yoga to enable people of various formal religious beliefs or philosophies, to have access to inner teachings that make it easier for them to pursue spiritual development while at the same time maintaining a ’normal’ life. This means that in Arhatic Yoga, the individual who wishes to pursue the spiritual path need not retreat from the world, their career or their current relationships. In fact, these pursuits are used to help the individual to further develop, through the daily challenges and interactions, as well as difficulties that may occur within the family, in the office, or in the contemporary lifestyle.
Arhatic Yoga is further distinguished by its multi-leveled approach and its focus on purification, character-building and service. All Arhatic Yoga practitioners begin at the "Preparatory Level," where they learn the basics of spiritual development, as well as the fundamental meditations and breathing exercises, or pranayama, that get their physical and energy bodies ready for the great amount of energy that their practice will generate at the higher levels of Arhatic. Arhatic Yoga places a lot of emphasis on service, character building, developing a clean and more refined energy body.

International Arhatic Yoga Ashram
GMCKS Arhatic Yoga Ashram is the first Ashram in the world for Pranic Healers and Arhatic Yogis. Situated in the midst of nature, surrounded by valleys, mountains and the forest, preserved from the encroachment of humanity by a deep gorge and lake on one side, and by verdant valleys and hills on the other, the Ashram is the ideal getaway from the stress and bustle of urban living. In this pristine atmosphere, an individual is inspired to evolve.
Said to be near a mythological cave where the Pandavas meditated, the Ashram is situated on a site embedded with natural crystals.
In this lush environment, Grand Master Choa Kok Sui’s vision is coming to fruit – the 1st phase of the Ashram is almost complete. This includes meditation halls, teaching rooms, a kitchen and dining area, an administrative hall and studio units for accommodation. Classes and retreats have already begun at the Ashram and starting 2006, monthly activities are planned there.
The Ashram continues to grow with construction of a second meditation hall, more residential units and other facilities currently underway.
